Class Description

This three hour class is for elementary-aged students who need work in the areas of communication, language, and literacy. It is the ideal class for children who struggle speaking, communicating, and reading. Non-vocal/nonverbal students are encouraged to attend. Students will be taught to have a "voice" to request their wants and needs, use language appropriately, and they will learn to read. Dr. Quinney is happy to help reinforce IEP and ABA goals and she will implement any necessary accommodations. Some maladaptive behavior is accepted as Dr. Quinney will work on behavior and use positive reinforcement to reward target behavior however students must have the following learning-to-learn behaviors to attend: Remain in an area for at least 15 minutes, toilet trained, no overly aggressive behavior. Requirements: Ages 4-11. Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM-11:00 AM. $75 per three-hour class.
